Experienced Ohio detectorists
We are looking for people who already understand permissions, local rules, recovery etiquette, and responsible reporting.
RelicPlot is free while we test whether access-first research actually helps Ohio detectorists choose better, safer places to investigate. We are recruiting a small group of experienced users for a 30-day pilot.
Ask about the pilot →We are looking for people who already understand permissions, local rules, recovery etiquette, and responsible reporting.
Pilot participants use the same Ohio beta catalog, record field outcomes, and tell us when a lead or access note is wrong.
We collect outcome measures—not public hunt locations, private addresses, or landowner identities. Participants can withdraw or request deletion.
Each session records a roster-bound pseudonymous participant and locked assignment, an allowed site cohort, attempted lead IDs, research minutes, hours hunted, viable-lead outcomes, an explicit permission-misrepresentation count, permissions requested and granted, targets and target quality, false positives, travel and wasted trips, access corrections, repeat-use response, detector/coil/settings, target ID and depth, terrain/soil/weather, the exact lead and source version, and whether the site was actually accessible.
A coordinator signs assignments before the first analyzed session, and a separate externally rooted timestamp service anchors them. An owner-only audited importer binds the authenticated accounts; the app cannot create or edit participant, workflow, or cohort-plan metadata. Every accepted session receives a server-signed receipt bound to its complete canonical outcome, assignment, protocol, authenticated account, receipt-chain predecessor, and server time. Every site cohort must be represented in both RelicPlot-assisted and free-research workflows, and uplift uses a predeclared equal-weight stratified calculation. Missing permission, false-positive, wasted-trip, access, or safety outcomes never become zero.
The paid gate requires at least 20 experienced detectorists, 60 sessions, 150 hours, 75 attempted leads, 100% reporting and zero permission misrepresentation, at least 20% improvement in viable leads per research hour over free research, and at least 70% repeat-use intent from at least 20 coordinator-confirmed completers with 95% response. The machine report verifies the externally rooted trust policy, signed roster and completion register, authenticated session receipts, externally checkpointed receipt and import-audit chains, and the signed production export root. An anonymized report must be published before charging.
